heres what happen. i was on my way home from a wedding an hour and a half away from my house. i was following my brothers Evo X. he started speeding doing 100+ so i did the same. when i shifted back into neutral to coast back to 65 my clutch pedal went dead. i gave it a few pumps and felt some pressure come back into it. once i got her into neutral i couldnt shift back into any of the gears. i pulled over and turn off the car and tried the gears. it worked fine. once i started the car and try to shift it into 1st it wouldnt let me. it was like this with all of the gears.

whats the cause of this?

i have a 01 Silverstone with roughly 110k miles on it. i thought it was the clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder so i replaced them both. still doesnt go into gear. any suggestions?

mods on the car are: megan exhaust, built bottom end, competitions stage 2 clutch kit.

 

check the clutch fluid?

you replace both the master and slave? and did you top off on the fluid and bleed it?

 

Yeah did it acouple of times when I installed the slave. Still didn't work so I bought the master blead it and still doesn't work

 

Oh yeah slave and clutch master are oem.

 

What brake fluid did you use? when was the last time you change your tranny fluid and which fluid did you use?

 

i have an 04 ap2. When i get on it, my clutch seems to loose some pressure. Its gets pretty soft but after a pump or two its back to normal. Its never been to the point where i cant get the car into gear.
Also, when i had my prelude back in the day, i couldnt get my car into gear either, only when the car was off like yours. Problem was the pressure plate

 

No i haven't changed the tranny fluid yet.

And yeah I was thinking it was the pressure plate too. You know any websites that sell pressure plates?
