Default HELP!!! Advice on idle with large injectors!!

I have a hard time turning the car on. And when its on i have a very rough idle. I have the speedcraft kit along with JE pistons (9:1 compression), 720cc injectors and the AEM Ems. Am i running too rich? The tech tuning my car says that he cant lean out the fuel enough to get a consistant Air/ Fuel ratio at idle. He also said that he's been having a tough time tuning my 3-bar MAP sensor. Is this a tuning problem or a spark plug problem? Should i also upgrade my ingition?

Your tuner sucks...you have full control over fuel. Try getting a better tuner

The shop is Modified Motorsports in Harrisburg, Pa. They did work on that Supercharged Silver L Creation S2000 thats everyone sees with that style body kit on it. They have done Julio's car(Godreau) and said that they had problems at idle but not a bad as mine. Im going to look into a better tuner. Anyone know Tuners with experience in the New Jersey area?
Thanks guys

The EMS takes a while to learn, and you have to have some time to sit down and figure it out. Unless the tuner is personally interested in the project, or you have alot of money to pay him, chances are it's not going to get the attention that it requires to get it running like a stock car. In all honesty, it just takes time, patiences, and knowledge. If the tuner is giving up at idle, then you should try and find someone else with EMS experience. (Not just tuning experience)

shogun, I know of a great tuner in CT if you are interested. He has worked with the AEM EMS already and will tune your car on the street first (with you driving of course), then on the dyno. I am going to go to him hopefully in a couple of weeks. He tuned Jenner's car with Vortech, smaller pulley, larger injectors, AEM EMS. PM me and I'll get you his name and info.

I spoke to them yesterday and now they are telling me that they think its the O-rings. Later that day im told that they are taking apart the engine and putting in O-rings. Which i thought were put in when the pistions were installed. Now i have to wait until next weekend for the installation to be complete and go through the break-in process of 1,000 again! Then bring it back in order to retune it again. The way they are doing things is really getting me paranoid and now im worried that they are not doing the job properly.

Turbo pwr i sent u a PM about the tuner you mentioned.

This sounds SHADY! I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict one of the following:

1. Much higher bill than you were given an estimate for (seems like that is already gonna come true if they are pulling apart the block)

2. Blown engine requiring rebuild.

I hope neither of these comes true, but these guys doing seem to be the right people to tune the S2000 on AEM EMS.

Exactly "wtf !!!!!" I asked about charging me more money for taking the block apart and installing the o rings and putting back together. But they told me that they wouldn't charge for it. But this is getting to be RIDICULOUS!!!! The worst part is that the shop is about almost 2 hours away from me and I cant go there and check up on things whenever I want. I have to take their word on the way things are going (which doesn't amount to much). I feel Im in a terrible position right now!!
