Default help asap clutch problem

I drive a 2002 with only 34k miles on her.On my way home from work took her to red line in second gear and than shifted in to third and let off. Everything seemed fine coasted down a hill than I went to push the clutch in and it felt very soft compared to usual. than the car wouldn't go into first so I had to throw it in second and get off the road. Sat in the car for a little searching on the forum for some info and found nothing. Than the whole ride home the car went into every gear as normal but my clutch seems to catch lower and is way softer. This is the only s2000 I've ever driven and my first stick shift car so I'm not sure if my clutch was too stiff to began with amd now this is what it's supposed to feel like or what. can't really compare it to any other clutches either because I learned to drive stick on thus car. It's my daily driver so I need to get my baby back on the road asap. I'll thank everyone ahead of time for their help.

Check your clutch fluid reservoir. Fill it and pump the clutch like 50 times. Bleed at earliest convenience.

^^^This...it could be you are low on fluid. Also check for leakage in the footwell area where the clutch master cylinder resides.

Thank you all for replying it looked like the previous owner never changed it. Came out like black tar. Time to learn my clutch over again feels totally different. Seems like my transmission shifts smoother also

If that is the case, you may want to look at refreshing all fluids including the brake fluid, trans fluid, diff fluid and oil. Possibly even the radiator fluid. All of that is something that you can do with some time and a few bucks worth of materials.
