Help! car wont start
To the topic at hand - unless the alarm "kill" is wired wrong (a possibility) it shouldn't make any buzzing or clicking sounds. As hecash mentioned it could be a solenoid problem (which may buzz, chatter, or click), but it could also be a loose connection at the battery. Chances are your stereo and/or alarm system required the battery terminal be removed and it may not be properly tightened.
When starting the car the battery needs to supply 100-200 amps, compared to maybe 10-20 amps during normal operation. Loose connections are notorious for working under light loads and failing under heavy loads, adn they'll do it repeatedly and intermittently.
Here's how you may be able to tell. Next time it fails to start, watch the dash lights when you press the START button. If the lights dim a whole bunch, sounds like a bad connection at the battery. If they don't dim or just dim slightly, it's probably not a bad battery connection, but could be a bad solenoid or bad connection on the way to the solenoid/starter.
After checking the battery cables, call your alarm guy and see if he wired a kill relay. If not, take it to the dealer.
