help with center console getting warm

Arrow help with center console getting warm

my05 is 2 weeks old and i just broke it in
so i VTECed my baby couple times
but what i noticed was that after vtec the center console got warm
is that normal?
or was i doing something wrong?

I'm surprised nobody's responded to this... yes, it is very normal, the transmission heats up due to the engine, transmits a bit of it through the center console. If you VTEC lots, you'll feel the shift knob warm up, whichever one you have. My titanium gets pretty warm after VTEC.

It's not a direct result caused by VTEC itself, your engine gets hotter when in VTEC territory since that is 6k+ RPMs. More RPM = More engine rotation = more heat generated.
