Default Help cold start Idle issue.

So I just rebuild my s2k engine the past few months after it spun a bearing. I sourced a new engine installed and started it up this weekend and it runs almost perfect. ..

My problem is when cold starting the car up it wont idle at 2000rpm more like 600ish.
I can make the start up air pump go on manually by a tiny bit throttle but as soon as i lower the idle it switches off ???

I can remember the car used to start and run at 2000rpm for a couple mins with the air pump running, then went down to 800rpm once warmed up. in other words a basic cold start.
Now it feels like the car doesn't know it its needs to run the pump or raise the idle to 2000rpm for a few mins when i start it.

Anyone point me in the right way or heard about this problem before. I am hopeing its simple fix.

Thanks for any help given
