Help!!! grinding noise
I just picked up my new S2K today!!! While driving it I noticed when I am taking off from a dead stop, once the clutch is about 3/4 of the way out I am getting a grinding noise in 1st gear. Any ideas what this is?

Yes, it is a 2001 with only 10 miles on it. I am depressing the clutch all the way as well, but am still getting the grind sound. It is happening during acceleration in 1st gear only? Any ideas?
The 1-2 grind occurs when you shift, not when the car is still in gear. You may want to take your car to the dealer to check it out, sounds like it could possibly be the clutch rattle.
Actually I stand corrected from the way I orginally described the problem (I edited my original post). The grinding is coming when I am taking off from a stop and the clutch is about 3/4 of the way out.
I also get a "growl" from the rear when lugging the engine and starting to move. Add some RPMs and the noise doesn't occur. I believe, but can't prove, that it's an artifact of the Torsen differential.

Thanks for all the advice, hopefully it is just a clutch adjustment. It seems the higher I rev from take off, the less the noise. Would this still be inline with the clutch being out of adjustment?
Update on my 1st gear grinding noise. I noticed when the vehicle is "cold" it does NOT make the grinding noise when taking off from a dead stop in 1st gear. After about 7-8 minutes of driving, and when the car is warm, is when the grinding noise appears. Any ideas why the temperature might effect this? Any help would be extremely appreciated.
how many revs are you turning? I've noticed that one of the tension pulleys (maybe the cam chain idler pulley) makes a rattle at low (1-2k RPM) revs when accelerating. I had something similar in my '01 Corvette. I've been ignoring it, or starting out at a higher RPM. The engine makes no power below 2k anyway...
