Help with HKS Super Form
I just got my HKS springs yesterday and I'm planning to put them on tomorrow. My question is this:
There are two bumpstops included in the box...do these go on the front or the rear? I haven't looked at the stock setup yet, so maybe it'll become self-explanitory at that point. But for now I'm just trying to get as informed as possible
Thanks

I didn't install the bump-stops, havn't been having any problems either. Don't really know if I was supposed to or not since I didn't really get an answer to my question.
Do you know if I'm supposed to leave those purple things for the rear springs on?

Maybe I got different springs but I have no Purple things on them. Just four black springs and two bumpstops. I think there were two generations for these springs. So maybe I got the old ones and you got the new ones. What do the purple things look like?
You should have two bump stops and you might have also gotten little sleeve things for the base of the spring. If you got sleeve things, leave 'em on - they'll keep things quiet and comfy.
As for bumpstops: DON'T EVER LEAVE THEM OFF!!!! They keep your shocks from bottoming out and breaking. Also, under hard cornering on a bumpy surface, if your shocks bottom out, it can make the car extremely unstable. If you left the stock bumpstops and didn't change them at all, your car may ride poorly on harsh surfaces and be a little unstable during cornering on harsh surfaces, but it'll help keep your shocks in good shape, so it's not that terrible.
I don't remember for sure which end the bumpstops they supply go on, but I think they go on the back and you just trim the stock bumpstop for the front. But there should be a diagram in the box showing which end gets trimmed (and where to trim it at) and which end gets replaced. The rear shocks have an external fluid resevoir, so that's how you tell them apart.

Yes, we did the exact same thing on my car. We put the supplied bumpstops on the rear and trimmed the front bumpstops a little bit. The purple things that are on the springs themselves are the bump isolators they keep the springs from making a clanking noise when they are compressed.
The Reverend is correct. Always install the supplied (or factory) bumpstops when installing aftermarket springs.
HKS supplies two shorter bumpstops made from a polyurethane foam of some sorts that replace the front stops. I trimmed the factory rear bumpstops a tad to allow a bit more travel.

How do I get that metal disc out to take the factory bump stop out on the first place? And why are my springs white and the Dave's black? I did leave the purple things on, thanks.
So you guys think I should take it apart and install the HKS bump stops?
