Doc... i only get premium 93... always from the same gas station... and i never had a problem before... although theres always a first... could it be that i sucked up water from my cai?

does anyone know how much it would cost to get the dealer to pull the codes from the car? or is it just worth getting a obd2 scan tool?
I would bank on it not being your CAI. You would have to drive into a large puddle of water, submerge your filter almost completely and then rev the $hit out of your car. Hydrolock is not an easy thing to do and a strange myth within the car industry. It is possible yes.. Likely no unless you are driving around without a filter. Or one with very large holes in it. I drove my car here in the snow and my car was having some trouble when it was in the negatives. I would go and get it checked out. Is it still under warranty?

I think you should try to go to like a Pep Boys or Autozone and get your code pulled like other members have suggested. That should tell you whats wrong with the car.

Everyone should buy themselves an inexpensive OBDII code scanner. You'd be amazed at how easy it can be to pull codes and fix your car yourself. The light could mean hundreds of different things. Could be a simple evap leak, like a loose gas cap, or something major that will serverely damage the emission controls and/or the engine. Have to scan it to be safe. OR, you could do a limited scan without a scanner by extracting the codes via flashing of the CEL. See modifry's website for details.

Will save you quite a bit of headaches especially when you mod anything at all on your car.

Here is what the Helm's Manual says:

P0132 - Primary Heated Oxygen Sensor Circuit High Voltage

Troubleshoot.

1. reset the ecm

2 start the engine. hold engine at 3000 rpm with no load (in neutral) until the radiator fan comes on.

3. Test drive under following conditions:
-55mph steady speed
-M/T in 6th gear
-until readiness code or Temp DTC P0133 comes on

4. Check for a temproaray DTC with the scan tool

Is there a temp code of P0133?

Yes - replace primary O2 sensor (Sensor 1)
No- intermittent failure, system OK, check connections.

So if you reset it and drive it as above and the CEL doesn't come back on, it was probably just a fluke from you running out of gas. Give it a shot and see what happens.

Good Luck

Pull the 7.5 fuse under the dash labeled "Backup" on the diagram on the left side drivers kick panel. Take it out for ~30 seconds and replace. The CEL should be gone.
