Help! Installed 3.5 inch intake; car bogs
Hey, question for those that I have put on a custom 3.5" (or any custom intake for that matter).
I understand that people run a catch can off of the line that goes from the front of the valve cover to the intake (or put on a small filter onto the outlet on the cover). But what do you do with the larger line that comes from the intake on the bottom side? Visually it looks like about a 3/4" hose.
I haven't gotten that into it yet, but I'm trying to plan out the build that I want to do for the intake and want to get everything I need before the install instead of the usual, "Oh sh-t, I forgot something" run to the auto parts place during the install.

I just left my hose off to the side, I cut it down a few so it wasnt so long.start up you just hear the air pump kick on for a few seconds and then its off. I will be leaving it like that till i get my standalone so i can block the egr and not have to deal with a check engine light. But as slowd16 stated the izzy racing delete kit works great its like $70 and allows to remove all lines and the air pump ..clears alot of crap in the bay.

Did you try switching some of the vacuums lines? sometimes they get mixed up. also the air inlet temp gauge has to be drilled into the new intake pipe on cars past 06 i think

i left the module that was sitting on the stock air box just extended the vacuum lines, mixing them causes a check engine light. as far as the air inlet temp i dont know this was done on my 00 s2.
