heheheehe thanks mate
I am at Holden General Motors atm and this work computer doesnt allow me to access s2ki. Using dial up modem as we speak

that wiring diagram make more sense for 4 triggers cop
the pink and tan are 540V wires and the others are trigger wires
I assume that pink and tan still connect to black on cbr954 or doesn't it matter? Fred, have you had any update on this?

Thank you so much chris and yakrat.
BTW what and why did you have problem with the c2di yakrat?

I believe Yakrat had 2 AEM CDI boxes stop working altogether.

I compared yakrat instruction with the aem instruction (latest instruction available on their forum).
The changes made only affected coil #1 and #3 positive inputs (if the informations I read on the net are correct ie pink and tan wires are positive). With Yakrat's method the
-pink wire connects coil 4 and 1
-tan wire connects coil 2 and 3

The instruction had
-pink connects to coil 4 and 2
-tan connects to coil 1 and 3

Why were the changes necessary for our f20c?

Is it correct to assume that pink comes from one capacitor and tan comes from the other?
Would it be better to fire coil 1 and 3 from one capacitor and 4 and 2 from the other as this give the capacitor some time to recharge while the other one discharge? Rather than both capacitor discharge for coil 1 and 3, recharge and then discharge for coil 2 and 4 etc.

I'll post a picture from the instruction when I get home if I confused everyone .....unless slows2k beat me to it

H9k, you were correct in saying that one capacitor needs to recharge while the other one discharges. Since the S2000 fires in the order 1-3-4-2, pink connects to #1 and #4 and tan connects to #2 and #3.

My first AEM C2DI died the same day that I installed it. My second AEM C2DI was dead on arrival. It can take AEM up to three weeks to send a replacement box. They do not cross ship and they will not exchange any C2DI until the "bad" one is received and tested. At one point they were only testing units once per week in a batch. I lost my patience with them. BTW, I also paid shipping x 2 from the East coast to the West coast.
