Help me analyze a poor compression test
I bought an '05 s2000 with 62,000 miles. the car drives well.
I have been in the normal maintenance kick that usually happens after buying a used car. Typical things, engine oil, trans oil, diff oil have all been changed.
Today, I got to the compression test.
Starting from the front:
170
210
220
150
Ok, it was bad news. I can handle it. I have been trying to get an idea as to why one and four would be lower. Could this be valve clearances (this would be my hope)? I was going to inspect/adjust them anyways. But I'm fairly certain that when clearances go, they go loose, which wouldn't effect a compression test.
Any ideas other than a leakdown?
