Help Needed: Plumbing for Oil Catch Can
I have seen a number of pictures of oil catch cans and pipework on N/A cars. Spoon suggests this as a good way to keep clean air going to the engine.
Does anyone have a good photo or diagram of the plumbing changes for a N/A engine? Blanking the flexible pipe and taking off the first rocker cover point to the can seems clear. The second rocker pipe and connections to the intake manifold seem less clear .
Any help/ photos/ diagrams appreciated.
I also assume that the can is vented to ambient air with a crank case type filter - again - any help appreciated
One of my reasons for doing this was that I have a spare flex intake pipe that I have temperature probed and found the hot air from the rocker cover added about 7-10 degrees to inlet temperatures on mixed town/ open road driving.

Actually....an oil catch can simply slips in-line of the PCV hose. Basically it is the big hose from the valve cover to the intake.
The intake creates a vaccuum which serves to suck excess oil and junk head. This normally goes back into your engine via the intake, while making a big mess.
The catch can keeps the vaccuum effect working but with a can to catch the oil as it passes by (using gravity).
Adding a vent or tiny filter thingy to the catch can won't do any good. If you want to do that you might as well plug the intake side of the PCV and just put a filter on the valve cover (which some people do).
BTW, you should know what size the fittings are for your catch can. Most hondas are 9mm but I am not sure about the S2000.
