I just bought my used '03 s2k a week ago. I will be at a complete stop, then take off in 1st gear and I hear a SINGLE knock almost everytime from the back of my car.

It came with bullsh*t drag radials on the rear, 255/55 in size! I didn't have the money at that time but do now. They are coming off for some RE750s on friday. Could this sound maybe be damage to my rear differential??? Maybe caused by these tires?

I can feel the "knock sound too"...This does not happen after I shift to 2nd - 6th. Only when I take off. About 2 seconds after I start moving in 1st gear I hear it.

Any help would be great...

Take it to honda and have them torque your axle nuts to 220 ft lbs instead of the previous 180.

99% likely to solve your problem.

Should be <$50 to fix.

Aight, I called Honda today and told them I wanted work done on the axel nut. They said they've never heard of anything like that before. This does not amaze me though, because everytime I have a question about my s2k, they act like they have never seen one before! I will be taking it there in the morning - he told me to drive it and let them hear what it's doing...they'll prolly try to tell me it's something totally different. We'll see.
