what was involved with the "reconditioning"???? did you do it or have someone else? was it just an exterior scratch removal of the outter light?? just trying to narrow down things

you take the lights out??? as in not work on them while still attached to your car???

I'll be the oddball and ask... how many miles on your MY00 and do you do a lot of night driving?

Did you phsically take off the whole headlight assembly or 'recondition' them while still attached to the car?

nah stayed in the car. and the cars a 2000 and has 106 now.

im gonna go with a coincidence and say swap bulbs and test,...either your bulb is out or your ballast.

thats my next question. Swap bulbs and see if it follows the bulb. if not then its your ballast

106k is a lot of miles if you drive w/ lights on. Also IIRC MY00-MY01's had a problem w/ ballasts going out.
