My passenger side headlight flickers for about 4 seconds then dies? It started doing this after the rain 2 days ago. Anyone know any solutions?

 

Sometimes when I first turn it on the highbeam light also turns on but pretty dim for about 4 seconds and dies. Highbeam nor HID lowbeam lights work on the passenger side.

 

might be the ballast or inverter. you may need to get it checked out at the dealership and have the parts replaced. be prepared, because they cost a couple hundred bucks.

 

Is the ballast or inverter the metal box on the bottom of the headlight assembly? I did have some condensation inside but I dont know how that would affect the metal box because the box is screwed shut. Should I buy a new one from ebay or something?

 

Anyone? If the highbeams don't work as well does that mean its the ballast and not the bulb? I just want to make sure that it's not the bulb before I go and purchase a ballast.

 

I would suggest to check the fuses first. Strangly enough from experience, if the fuse is busted, the HID will flicker just like a stroboscope
