Default high beams dont work?

i dont know for how long but my high beams do not work. I press it towards me nothing, away from me nothing.. I turn off my headlights do it the regular lights turn on.. i was in my garage for about 5 minutes just pressing the highbeam stick towards me and about 1/8 times it would work.. do you guys think its a fuse issue? Im thinking about taking it to the dealer.

To engage the high beams you need to push. If you want a quick flash you can pull back.

Are you seeing the blue indicator on the dash?

So if I understand correctly the high beams arent even coming on at all. That said I would think that a) the bulbs are burnt out, or b) a fuse needs to be replaced, or c) something electrical is going on. The dealer might be a good idea. Im sure they could check any of the 3 scenarios I came up with as to why your high beams arent working relatively quickly. Take it easy.

Firstly, I would check your fuses. Secondly, I would check your bulbs.... and if you try both and are unsuccessful at finding the cause, yes, I would agree to taking your car to the dealer.

If you are a little more technically-inclined, I would recommend you take a voltmeter/ohm-meter, and run a continuity check on your high beam wires.. If you're not getting a good read at the leads when you have them turned on, I'd then suggest to take a reading at the fuse box.. This would be to further sort of pinpoint where you could be losing power to them.. either before the fuse box, or after..

Let us know how it turns out...

Hope this helps!
