I failed to keep watch on my PCV and it clogged... I guess it was no big deal until a drive with long periods in VTEC.. looking at my log at one period I was above 6K for 19 minutes and later for 13 minutes until I started smelling the oil. After the trip I went after the leaks and found a seep at the rear main seal, a larger leak at the back of the oil pan, and a blown valve cover gasket. A lot of work to recover just because I did not replace a cheap valve.
