Default High speed shaking normal?

Is it normal for my steering wheel to kind of vibrate and feel "shakey" at high speeds? I only feel this when I drive over 80mph. It almost feels as if my tires will blow out or something too. I was told by my buddy that Im due for some front tires in a few months, but not yet. The inner parts of my front tires are almost reaching the tread bars. Could that contribute to the high speed shaking as well?

How many miles do you have on your tires? Just becuase there is some tread left on them doesn't mean that the belts inside the tire aren't seperating. Usually a shake is not do to an alignment issue. It could also just be a tire out of balance.

Alignment isn't going to cause steering wheel shaking at high speeds, your tires are out of balanceHave them balanced or mount and balance new tires since you're going to need new tires soon.
