Default Hissing Sound

so today I noticed a hissing sound in the engine area. i searched and found a couple results, mostly due to either a solenoid of some sort or a hose. however, since no maintenance has been done to the car recently, i wonder if this could be the reason why. car performs fine, i just notice the hissing sound while idle (cant hear it while driving as the sound is pretty subtle). any ideas? i took a sound clip on my iphone although i have no idea how to post a sound clip?

also should add, it is not a continuous hissing sound like a snake, but it hisses in short bursts at about 5 hisses / second lol if that makes any sense

Might be the little air controller solenoid thingy on the intake. It hisses if a vacuum hose is loose or if you turn the little solenoid.

You might have a Turbo.

lol jk, Check and see if your S2k intake lid is off. If it is it will make a loud hissing noise.

lol.......so this is really stupid but i figured out what it is.......there was a sticker on the engine that was coming loose and this was touching a pulley and that was causing the noise. the fix? remove the sticker hahaha
