Hey guys I got a second hand ecu from someone for 60$ I went to Honda to reprogram it and they can't do it they say?

Not possible. Everyone always told me
It's possible to swap 00-03 ecus so I bought an 03 and this thing doesn't connect to my car so I can't reprogram my key to my ecu. Did I buy a dead ecu or something?

 

The dealer did mine, so it can be done.

 

It can be reprogrammed.

 

Honda did this for me as well on my old 03 si. Try another dealer.

 

I just had this done about a month ago. I drove up the car with the 03 ECU in a box. They took the car, swapped it out and gave me back the original ECU. Take a look at my post regarding the results.

What you are doing is programming the new ECU to the immobilizer in your car.

 

Programming a key to the ECM is not the same as reprogramming the ECM ROM.

S2000 didn't get a reflashable ECM until 2006.

 

that's what i'm trying to do. ECM to key.

but anyway i just found out this ecu has no immobilizer chip so its unprogrammable. it should start up regardless without but it does not so i got sold a junk ecu
