Default Which hose is this?

Hello

While checking for some things under the hood, I saw that this hose is just... loose. It was partly inserted into the OEM intake piece, just after the manifold.

Does anyone know what is the function of this hose? Is this something I need to find a way to secure back on the intake?

Thanks in advance

That hose is part of your PCV system. Its a breather line that allows air from the intake to be pulled into the valve cover. Looks like the previous owner had an aftermarket intake installed on the car or was fiddling around with the Pcv system. The OEM breather line looks different. However, you need to secure that hose back in place by installing the proper size spring clip or hose clamp. Lastly, there is also a spring clip missing from your Pcv line.

oh crud. Yeah the prev. owner did an engine swap since he turbo'ed his oem engine..

I am planning to get AEM CAI. Do aftermarket intakes have a nozzle in the intake pipe to accommodate the PCV hose?
