Default Hot! 2 Vortech SC units dyno'ed

Well, first of all, I do not have any dyno sheets. At first, I was also doubting
about the horsepower but this shop (Import Builders) is very well known in South
California so I believe them.

I email them about the kiwi turbo kit they custom made back then for a Silver S2000
and Jeff from Import Builders told me they alread dyno'ed 2 new Vortech SCs.

Here's the emails...

I dyno'd 2 of the new versions, not prototypes.

Um..I call serious bullshit.

My stock S2000 is putting down 208.6 rwhp are you trying to tell me that the Vortech kit is only going to add 30hp at the wheels? I don' t think so. Get a print out and take a picture of it or scan it in.

Yeah, I have to say that's bs. Maybe they made some mistake, but those numbers sound way off.

A. Look how many other supercharger kits they make...

B. They would have to suck REALLY bad to make only 30hp out of 6psi.

jzr, what other variables are there that could make the gains only half of what vortech claims.
A blown F20C making as much as a blown b18?

I luv your avatar by the way, reminds of a video game i used to play when i was a kid. Anytime you had a question, you asked the old sage for advice, i guess it works here too, minus the old part of course

Guys...you guys ever think of HEAT SOAK?

On a good day, those Vortech kits will put down much more. An SC'd S2000 only put down 240 with his Comptech SC at Import Builders, I was there. For that matter, EVERY forced induction car wasn't doing too well because of the heat.

It's in the good High 80s during day, so it gets pretty hot. My car doesn't even boost fully when it's this hot.

btw, the SC'd S2000 who got the 240 rwhp raced a friend of mine and he is definitely putting down more than 240 rwhp on day with lower temperatures.

Jeff's reputation is actually not that great. I don't trust him based on things I've read directly from him in other forums.
