How to adjust these coilovers?
If someone could please explain to me how to adjust these using the numbers.
For example if I want to raise the front and lower the back?
To preload the coilovers do I need to jack up the control arm piece which would compress the coilover and then tighten number 3 and 6?
I would think that the huge gap between 1 and 2 the front would have been raised but in fact it lowered the front. There is little space between 4 and 5 yet there wasn't as significant as a drop.
From what I understand I would unscrew number 1 and twist the bottom of the shock where it says BR Type down, to raise the front, then once I lower the bottom piece of the shock I would lock in the number 1 ring to the base of the shock.
I thought with coilovers I could adjust the ride height without having to remove the bolts that hold the coilover on. Guess I thought wrong.
Does anyone know if I were to just take the bottom bolt out of the shock/control arm would I be able to slide the coilover out to twist it?

How do you guys with slammed cars get away with it? I have about an 75" gap from tire to fender and if I hit the smallest hole the tire rubs on the fender. Below is my driver front.

Your rubbing all depends on wheel width and offset.
Number 1 on the front and number 4 on the rear are the items you use to adjust the height. You don't HAVE to take the dampers off to do this, but I would recommend it.
Preload should only be a few turns anyway.

And as far as preload do I just tighten 3 and 6 while the car is at rest?
the preload is already set on these. don't touch the preload.
these are the instructions you want:
http://74.125.95.132/search?q=cache:A9Rnih...lient=firefox-a
loosen 1 and 4. turn 2/3 and 5/6 to adjust height. tighten 1 and 4 when done. use your wrenches for all of this.

if you can't figure out how to adjust the height the chances are you don't know how to preload the spring properly.
rubbing(like someone said, wrong offset + tire combo) is the least of your problem at that height, you might need some preload to keep the car off bumpstop(suspension travel)
preloading the spring is easy but knowing how much to preload take some experience
and we can't answer you anything without knowing the static height, weight, spring rate, how much stroke it has, etc
improperly adjusted suspension, wrong offset rims and the M+s tires is a bad combination, if you know what i mean. when a MFG telling you the spring is preloaded, you need to take into consideration that the stroke presetted from the factory works for that height only, if you slam the car to the ground, your geometry changes, etc.
