well i told the mechanic to put the specs at 8 for intake and 10 for exhaust.
is it actually possible he could put that as .008 and .010 in MM? or is that impossible. or he could take it like i meant as in 8.0 and 10.0
im just worried if there was a confusion.
but my baby is more quiet and is more powerful

if your baby is more quiet and powerful then everything is fine. if they were adjusted too tight you'd hear a distinct tapping as the valve hit the valve seat, or if they were too loose you'd blow black smoke out the exhaust from incomplete combustion

Run as small a gap as you can, i dont know te expansion coefficients of your valves and burn temps so i cant figure it out, but as little as 10 thou can double the speed at which the tappet hits the stem tip.

If yer engine is quiet and powerfull, I wouldn't trip. If the rockers were adjusted to tight, then the valves would not seat and the engine would run rough and weak, eventually leading to catastrophic engine failure. You said your engine is quiet and powerfull, case closed.
