Default how to get to the fuel pump?

i'm trying to find the easiest and quickest way to get to the fuel pump, because of replacing the stock with the 255 unit. what is the quickest way to get to it? i've heard someone saying that i have to remove the center console. i've also heard that to go in from the trunk and remove the spare tire. so which is the quickest and easiest access?

There is no "quick and easy" way to get the fuel pump out. Look at the following Vortech installation manual for the part that deals with putting in the fuel pump and you'll see what's involved:

The gist of it is you have to remove the trunk liner, spare tire, wind deflector (if you have one), soft top tray and work hanging over the closed secret compartment and the top must be up.

Going throught the truck give you ther most room to work, and you don't pull the fuel pump into the passenger compartment.
