I'm thinking F.I. now and have read from other posts that the 300+HP starts coming out at around 7000-8000rpm and nothing below that? I was just curious as to how long one can stay in that SC range? Do most of you SC drivers stay in that range? How long? Or do you just tap it up there and let go? Thanks in advance for the response!

I run mine gear to gear. Never had a prob. But I don't drive around at 8000rpms all day. Is that what you are looking for?

wantone, because it is driven off the engine crankshaft, the SC keeps the same acceleration & power curve characteristics of a stock S. Everything is just higher up the curve by about 50%. Unless you plan on building engine internals first, I would not recommend staying at 7-8k RPM. Getting to 9k RPM with the SC doesn't take long, and with an upgraded clutch/flywheel that will only bring you to redline even quicker. I hope this helps some.

When you say "and nothing before that" (refering to lower rpm's), that is not entirely correct. The power curve is higher at almost all rpm's, but the most drastic change is up high

I had my Comptech SC put on about a week or 2 ago, and I definitely felt increased power and torque from 3,000 rpm's and up, but at Vtec, it's crazy The RPM's climb much faster with the SC on.
