Default how long (and $) to install F20C engine/tranny?

I have an S2000 that has no engine or tranny in it. It did about 1 month ago, so the hoses / radiator, etc... are there.

If I buy a engine/tranny combo swap. How long would you expect it to take to drop it in and get everything hooked up?

i think there are just two motor mounts. can the swap come in from the top or do you have to undo the subframe and bring it from the bottom?

I was quoted $1k from one place. A more local place says $62.00 an hour and they won't commit to how many hours, but usually they are pretty good guys.

thank you.

I can do a full swap (given that all parts are on hand) in less than 8 hours. The best way to do it is to drop the front subframe and drop the whole engine/trans out of the bottom. I've seen it get pulled from the top but it's ugly. $1000 bucks to swap the motor seems like a good deal to me. Dealers will charge way more than that.

especially since my old engine and tranny is already out.
Sometimes it is slower if someone else did the disassembly.. connections and nuanced fitments can be less obvious.. especially if you have little experience with that particular car.
