Default How many HP more?

Hello everyone

Just wanna know how many HP could result from the insert of this Spoon Air Filter comparing with the OEM?!

Any of you have this Air Filter installed?! It is a good choice for a daily-driver?!

Thank you for your help.

About the only advantage you'll have is that it is re-useable. Any HP gains that may have been reported have been within the dyno's normal range of error (background noise).

edit:
ie. 2 to 3 HP is within the error of most dynos and thus, is indistinguishable from "0". That's what we are trying to tell you.

OK so filters are a big trade off.....generally speaking, you have a choice between two factors, better airflow or better filtration. The filters that provide the best filtration will generally not have the highest airflow. Better airflow can result in better power. However, better filtration helps protect your engine and can reduce long term engine wear.

Honda has done a pretty good job compromising the needs to have both a free flowing filter and one that filters well. You may be able to find a filter with better airflow but you will be compromising on it's ability to filter.

The question you have to ask is negligable performance improvement(i.e. 1-2hp) worth the potential for extra wear due to less effective filtration....

A JR filter will give you something for less money than replacing stock filters.

However there is not much in store there, power loss due to pressure drop is, I believe, 5HP or thereabouts when compared to a direct "racing" intake.

As has been said many times, the major power loss is heat induced. Not much you can do about that with a filter, short of replacing the air box with a better designed system.
