Default How often should I get alignment done?

If my car is handling fine and tires are wearing evenly, should I have it done? How often? I used to have my other cars done yearly but I've heard that you don't need to since cars these days hold settings well. comment will be appreciated.

i would like to know this too, but i'm guessing it would depend on the road conditions that you drive in.

I think you just answered your own question.

If it ain't broke, why fix it?

ps. My S is nearly 4.5 years old. I've not had an alignment yet. Only with the last tires have I noticed a slight "asymetrical" wear on the tires from one side to the other. This year may be the year for its first alignment. If the alignment is working well for you, there is a greater chance of screwing up a good alignment than there is of fixing a bad one.

I also leave my alignment alone unless I think there's something wrong with it. With amount of driving I do on questionable pothole-ridden roads, though, I usually end up getting one done around every 6 months, or roughly 12-14k miles.
