Default How often should throttle cables be replaced?

I noticed mine is kinda gettin loose, but should I replace it or just adjust it to make it tighter? Or should they never have to be replaced unless broken somehow?

They should never be replaced unless broken. Which would occur if you tightened it too much.

There should be slack, about 4mm - 6mm. You measure this by push down on the exposed wire.

tighten if nessessary, do not over tighten and remove all slack.

I removed ALL of my slack 2 years ago. No problems, great response. If I have to replace it sometime, so be it.

Some slack is required for the proper operation of the throttle body. If the cable is too tight you increase the risk of throttle cable breakage and damage to the butterfly in the throttle body.
