I have a cousin who loves the keep his traction control off in his IS300.

He also drives like a grandpa all the time. I asked him why, and he thinks it's 'cooler'.

Retarded.

So far it looks like no one has any answers.

Is the VSA a seperate module unit connected to the ECU or is it part of the ECU? If it's a seperate module then a quick disconnect should disable it, if not then more work will be required.

Ideally I'm looking to completely remove the VSA and not have the VSA off light illuminated on the dash.

Instead of manually pushing the VSA off button each time you start the car, anyone permanently disable their VSA yet? What is the best way?

You probably could install a relay into the circuit that automatically "pushes the button" every time the car is started. This might or might be more complex that it seems at first glance.

I agree with most people, though, that for normal street driving it's probably just as well to leave it on. Some people get their egos wrapped around the strangest things (like 9000 RPM redlines or stability control that doesn't actually interfere with them).

Is the VSA really so obnoxious that you have to turn it off on a routine basis?

Smartest post I have read in months. Seriosly, why do you want it off to go to starbucks?

If you really want it off, unplug the VSA control unit on the ABS modulator, and pull the bulb from the dash.

You won't have to worry with that pesky VSA system.

Doesn't pushing the button sound like a better idea? Especially when the tires get worn. Numerous drivers have wrecked it situations where VSA would have saved them. (even experienced drivers)

If you want to do a hot mod, you could change the default to always off. Then use the button to turn it on. Take apart the dash, and black out the "OFF" in VSA OFF.

In the end, you get in the car with no vsa and no light. if you want it, hit the button and get "VSA" on the dash.

I have the 06 diagrams...what's it worth to ya to configure this???
