Like already mentioned, you may be able to put a xx millisecond delay circuit found at your local Radio Shack on the power wire just behind the switch itself. At least this was one trick that worked on Audi/VW's with traction control that defaulted to "ON" when the vehicle was started. Then when you needed it you just pushed the button On/Off once to re-enable it again. That xx millisecond delay was enough to fool the ECU into not turning it on.

It would be cool if Honda S2K tuners would step up like Ross-Tech did for Audi/VW and make ECU software that you could use to go in and turn things like this off as well as reset CEL's now that the new cars have DBW. Something like this probably wouldn't work on the earlier models with cable throttle though

Push the button is the easiest way.

Or buy a 00-05 car.

VSA=Vehicle Stability Assist, standard on the 06.

It's ABS brakes that can control the throttle, and shift brake pressure side to side.

Maybe Honda got tired of every other person spinning the car out and calling it a death trap

I drove '00 E430 to San Diego on New Year Eve, at 80 MPH I hit a standing water on I-5, without Traction Control I would lost control of the car. I drove that fast on pouring rain mainly because of Traction Control, without it I would not drive faster than 60 MPH on slippery highway.

Translation: lots of people have opinions on why VSA shouldn't be disabled. Only a few actually stayed on topic and shared any technical info on the original question as to how to permenantly disable VSA.

If we want to talk about why or why not VSA should be kept on, we can create another thread for that and share our experiences of how VSA saved their cars from crashing. This thread is to share technical info regarding disabling VSA. Please stay on topic, thank you.

If you really want it off, unplug the VSA control unit on the ABS modulator, and pull the bulb from the dash.

You won't have to worry with that pesky VSA system.
Where is the VSA control unit located? I have not bought the '06 service manual yet. I will try just unplugging it first and see how that goes. Thanks for the info.

You're exactly the reason these "driver" aids scare me.
