Thumbs up How should I go thru the firewall, and ...

As in the title, I tried to look at the tech stuff to figure out where I should go thru the firewall and the only one I could find the pics werent posting right. So if anyone has a pic or text I would really apreciate the help.

Problem 2. I'm putting on a fuel pressure gauge, I got the sender and so forth. I just need the friggin banjo bolt with the threads in the back of it. I know they come with the some of the supercharger kits.

Help!

What are you trying to put through the firewall?

Most people drill and tap the fuel rail for a pressure gauge, or if they have a Comptech FMU, use the gauge port on it.

3 wires for the gauges that will be in the a pillar. and a tiny tube for the +/- manifold pressure guage.

I dont think thats really neccesary. There are so many other options that dont envolve pulling off a fuel rail or buying something that is effectively useless for my application.

There is a plastic body plug above the gas pedal you can cut and put some wiring through.

The fuel supply hose is held on by a large nut, even if you find a similar nut, most of the fuel pressure senders are too large to be installed in that location and have the hood close.

thats the kind of bolt I'm talking about. it doesnt seem real complicated. I could just pull the bolt and tap that. but I'm in iowa, and my tools arent, so a mailorder or other solution would be great.

You're looking at pics from a Comptech SC. The banjo bolt in question replaces the stock Fuel pressure regulator. It threads into a seperate adapter from Comptech.

You can't easily use this stuff a NA car as you need the regulator on the fuel rail. You'd need the fittings from Comptech, as well as a remote mounted FPR.
