how to tighten the throttle cable

Default how to tighten the throttle cable

i looked at my today n the throttle cable was loose how do i tighten it back up

I just put in a new TB and now I am not sure what idle RPM should be on MY01. Anyone know?

varies between 900-1100 depending on ____ insert condition here.

Have the cable on loose with the car running. Tell a friend to sit in the car and tighten until the rpms start to rise a bit and then loosen a little bit. Voila

That is not the correct method for adjusting the throttle cable.

Leave ~1/4 inch vertical play. This comes straight from Honda. Learn it, live it.

it never said "vertical play"

it said free play.

my method was to tug it back and forth and measure the "free play"...after all...the pedal pulls on the cable...so i interpret free play to be back and forth in the line that the cable travels...

i see no reason why vertical movement has anything to do with the free play.
