Thumbs down HT striker / alignment

Did a search, couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. I have had a HT on for a while on my AP1 00' and was having rattle problems from the front striker area, so bout a week ago I ordered some of the HT strikers. I just put them on yesterday, but they pull so tight that my HT goes forward some so the HT is NOT aligned with the windshield anymore, its about 1-2 cm higher then it needs to be. Why would it be doing this and how can I adjust them? Could it be that the strikers are on the wrong side, because they both looked the exact same to me.

Any help would be appreciated because I have to drive on the interstate for 2 hours, and the wind noise with this problem is terrible.

There is a new windsheild striker, the top edge is a little shorter. $60 from hardtopguy.com
Two screws came loose that hold them to the windshield and made a rattle over bumps

yea i bought those, but now my HT doesn't fit with them. It fit fine with the regular strikers, but it rattled and no wind noise, now it just wont fit.

I haven't got a HT yet but I'll guess anyway. You might be able to move the strickers back using shims or washers . Problem is ,what effect would this have on the softtop? If the softop latches rather loosely already, this remedy could make it even looser.
Remove the front top latches/strickers and look at the mechinism. Is there anyway to make an adjustment? If your car has never been involved in a collision there is a way to make the HT fit. Good luck
