i just got spoon upper control arm gussets welded in and the welder got carried away up top in the engine bay ,

theres about 3 or 4 small pin holes that broke through the engine bay ,i covered them with primer so you cant really so the extant of the bad welds ,

i plan on putting 275 square on this car with hoosiers and tracking it with ohlins .

when he called to let me know the car was ready he acted really "funny" and nervous on the phone , kept acting like he was trying to dance around an issue kept me on the phone for 7 mintues and tried to up sell me on a strut bar

should i be worried about this and demand my money back or demand he pay to have an auto body fix this or is this area " non structural" and nothing to worry about

seems like you're fine with it since you already covered it up.

i dunno if there will be problems in the future because of this, i wouldn't think so.

Fill it with some oem style seam sealer/silicon and call it good. My feeling is its fine structurally.

didnt really have a choice , had to make sure it didnt rust either way

its not the seem sealer holes im worried about , its the small pin holes in the weld that go all the way though, thats the question for me, and to be totally honest if the welder wasnt acting so "funny" after i wouldn't have thought any thing of it...

how structural is that area any way ?

It appears it is over-welded, some cosmetic burn off but other than that it should be plenty strong.

while not perfect I don't think there will be any flexing going on in that location to cause the cracks to expand. Maybe grind out the thin stuff with a dremmel, and fill in the gap with a bit of JB Weld and paint and call it a day. The lower area looks plenty strong.
