It's very easy to change. You pull it up (without too much force), take the clamp off the hose that's connected to the PCV valve (red arrow), then you pull it off the PCV valve.

Pulling it off will be kind of hard at first, wiggle it, turn it, do whatever you have to, then just swap over your new PCV valve and your done. It didn't take me no more than 2 minutes. Goodluck
Exactly what I needed! Thanks!

I just changed mine. Mine still looked brand new and seemed to work but for 4 bucks for the new one, it's still worth the peace of mind.

It seems like the PCV valve is easily attainable for the AP1s but the AP2s looks like a dealer part. I called around to find one and everyone of them said, dealer only.

So what happens if I don't clean it or change it?

What would happen if the PCV is broken?
Bump. I need to know this please...

What would be your first symptom of a failed PCV valve.

Actually, let me rephrase that please...

Can a failed PCV valve cause intermittent smoking during NORMAL (as in, not track) use?

I sprayed brake cleaner through mine. Then I blew it dry with compressed air. Mine rattled when I lightly shook it, but I figured I'd clean it just in case.

Works fine still.

it was a three dollar part for me from the local parts store. why not just replace it instead of finding out what happens.

took like 2 minutes to swap. just need a pair of needle nose pliers or something to take the clamp off the hose.

Yeh, I'm gonna replace it anyway. On top of what I'm starting think may be the beginning of catastrophic engine failure, I guess $3 won't matter.

Quick Reply: I think it is time to change your PCV Valve.
