Default idea for s/c folks......

would it be better to have a tube or extend the piping to the vent in the bumper?
or is it better not to have the tube at all?
to make the question easier, would having any kind of constriction but sucking in much colder air affect performance with the supercharger? or would it not since it is being sucked in mechanically by the engine?

Moving this to the main part of UTH. Answers will most likely be opinion and conjecture. "Technical" is reserved for detailing the actual installation of such a mod.

Having difficult trying to figure out what you're asking.

But here's the deal--yes, even with a SC, cold air is good--doesn't matter where you get it from.

ok... lets try it this way...
with a n/a engine u need to easiest flow to the throttle body as possible since the engine relies on vacuum to get the most possible air meaning the less bends etc....
the better flow... now, lets try extending that tube which hooks onto the sc to the vent in the bumper even with all those bends and extending the pipe for more air travel, would all these factors constricting the flow matter with a forced induction engine?

I would rather have all those bends in that longass pipe that sucks cold air, than I would an open filter directly off the blower. The air is being compressed (and heated) already so the colder the better.
