Identifying crank I bought off ebay
I bought an ap1 crank off ebay in 2015 from a salvage yard seller. It sits on a shelf. 2 years later I sell everything to a friend and the engine is dropped off at the machine shop to be assembled. The pistons were rising above the deck and wouldn't work. so I refund my friend and get my stuff back. I assumed it was an ap2 crank, the longer stroke pushing the ap1 rods/pistons up too far? Is there anyway to identify the crank? Looking through old threads and ebay auctions the f22c crank looks like it is a darker shaded color than the f20c crank. But mine is the lighter shade so I'm just not sure. Am I just going to have to take it somewhere to measure it? thanks

Anyone think to measure how high above the deck the pistons were?
According to the data I can find the AP1 stroke is 84mm vs the AP2 stroke of 90.7mm a difference of 6.7mm so the pistons will be half that distance or 3.35mm higher at top of stroke (and the same at the bottom). A bit over 1/8 inch.
