should i get this problem fixed immediately, or is it something that can be done in a couple of weeks, i definatly want to fix a problem before it becomes a problem. i know screwing up the timing chain will screw up everything. how long can i wait to change the tct? thats my main ?

Mines was the timing chain tensioner. Changed the TCT, oil changed and got all the valve/tappet clearances checked ok and didn't cost a lot. Cars running and sounding better than ever!

Changes TCT and did a valve adjustment, both helped a lot,
but there is still slight irregular ticking noise like once in 1-2 sec, that sounds like the chain is hitting the valve cover from the inside.
The noise goes away if the car is not in idle or when it has been driven
Ideas anyone?

After i changed the TCT the noise went away for a couple thousand miles then the noise has came back, although not as bad as before. Took it to the garage and they recommend changing the chain as it may have been stretched with the TCT failing before and the car has done over 80,000 miles. Does this cost a lot to do?
