Default Idle hunting

i managed to fit up my IM with the hondata gasket and tb bypass today.
.double checked everything and put the coolant in... Started the car n ran well for 30sec. Turn off the car do the coolant topup, all of a sudden car started going bananas with idol hunting really badly.
Like real bad. Up to 3k and back down to 1700rpm.

Some say vacuume leak. Others say when i ported my manifold to my tb, because i didnt remove my iacv its prob dirty.
Any input welcome.
Thanks

ya I would check for air leaks around the IM and TB. Use propane or carb cleaner around the areas you messed with

ok so i check for leaks - nothing. i had the coolant bypassing the throttle body also.

i cleaned the IACV and made no difference. i put the coolant lines back to stock and it idled perfect. i was confused.

i then put the coolant lines back to the bypass and it still idled fine. a few mechanics think its the ecu trying to adjust to the ported IM/TB and the polished manifold runners... personally i have no idea what it would have been. but at this current moment the car is running perfectly.

thanks for your input.

car after 14 months of builting is going into the tuners.

see my build thread on OZhonda forum here if anyone is interested:

Stuck IAC valve is most likely.

Cleaning is hit or miss, the surefire way to fix it is to separate the halves and spin it free with you fingers. Use no cleaner.
