Default Immobilizer sensor AP1/AP2

Having a little problem with intermittent flashing green key lights (tumble, no start).

Part #39730-S84-A0 is the immobilizer sensor ring on my AP1 steering column. Hoping to replace it with Part #39730-S84-A02 which is still available for purchase.

Has anyone done this before ? Need to know if the newer part will read the keys and report to the ecu the same as the old.... before dropping 100+ on this little thing.

I encountered the intermittent flashing green light about a year ago and replaced the immobilizer sensor with 39730-S84-A02 and it resolved the issue in my AP1.
Didn't have to reprogram the keys...it was plug and play.
Good luck!

This is the answer I was hoping to hear! Thanks for the feedback the sensor is cheaper than an ecu

I have one original key and keyless fob... And One duplicated key.

I notice that the green key light is flickering a bitbtoday but car started fine with both keys. Some internal component of the column sensor may be going bad. I looked inside the component but I'm not a circuit board guy so not sure how to tell if it's a faulty condition or not.
