I just noticed how hot the manifold gets, damn near as hot as the valve cover. So I just thought if the gasket actually worked why not add it for $50. I'm not looking for some miracle hp gain, I just thought why not cool down the inlet temps a little just so the car ran a little better, and possibly cooler. Just an idea.

The ITB could still heat up more from the intake manifold and heat conduction from the head, than from the coolant flowing through it

the hondata IMG's job is essentially to prevent heat conduction from the head into the intake manifold, thus allowing for cooler air temps as it goes through the manifold.

If that's what you want to do, then yes. the Hondata IMG prevents enough heat conduction from the head to allow a small gain in power too.
