Black and yellow interior? If so I Think it has to be custom. Your not thinking right if your intent is to rebuild this engine because of a little oil burn. Rebuild the engine when the engine is shot. Have you driven the car yet?

No i havent driven it yet. Will be in like 3 months when i return from my deployment. But the reason why i say rebuild for oil problem is that there mostlikely on holds 5 quarts of oild and if you burn 1 q every 1,000 miles then your going to have to put some in there before you get a 3,000 or even a 5,000 mile change. Thats kind of weird sounding if you ask me.

Not really.

You CAN use 75w90, that's why people like it. Honda likes a pure 90w, but the 75w90 is pretty good.

The diff fluid honda usually uses in its cars is very thin, like a mineral oil. You put that in your diff and it'll die in about 1000 miles.

The oil use is almost by design. Ripping the engine a part isn't a solution.

Some people have found crank vents help with oil consumption, it helped my s2000 when I supercharged it.

You'll probably use about a 1/2 quart every 1500-2000 miles. 1 quart every 1000 isn't the norm. But check it, the car is very high strung and low oil will cause some damage.

Personally I would consider 1qt/1000mi as moderate burn. If you drive the car and have no other problems, add a quart every 1k and live with it. It could be an indication of upcoming problems but it could also be somthing that will have no effect for a very many miles to come. If oil consumption progresses over a relatively short period of time, a rebuid would probably be legitamate.
I had an L82 Vette ,bought brand new that used this amount of oil and drove it for 16yrs with no engine problems. Engine rebuilds or swaps are expensive and make a recoup on investment almost impossible. If you have any doubts about this car, it would be much better to apply the money for the rebuild to a better and newer S2k.
