Do you think if I just throw in a set of 9:1 JE pistons and forged rods.........the car will run good with the turbo? Are there any advantage or disadvantage when i do this?
This has been on my mind too! I read the thread that Chris (cjb80) wrote about his misfortune with his engine, but as I live in the UK there are no S2000 specialists or at least Turbo'd Honda engine specialists over here and I could'nt afford to send my block to Mike Simon as it would cripple me in shipping costs.
Is there a science to getting aftermarket low compression forged pistons to work in the F20C
I'm not looking to do this straight away, I want to push my standard internals to hell & back first, when I finally get my turbo......

Well.....my S is in the shop now! There's some knocking noise from the engine (I think is the rod or rod pin). I was only running 7psi but the boost spike a little to 8psi. I'm still not sure what's going on with my engine yet because Eddie is on vacation and he won't be back until Thursday

I really need to tune my car with the wide band 02 on the dyno when I get my car back. I think the cause of the knocking is because of the E-manage setting wasn't good enough for my car. I think the UR setting is not for every car out there (IMO). You have to really tune it when you get it not just plug and play.

Let me know if you guys have any opinions?
Now, I'm out of my S for couple weeks

If Im going to be doing turbo do you think that, Toda Cams, JE Pistons, and a good quality set of rods and gaskets would be enough to raise a turbo boost to 14psi?
toda cams are used for all-motor only, not turbo.

Wrong. Toda themselves claims that even more gains will be seen from their cams on the S2000 with FI.

have they tested their in cams in FI cars or they only assuming.

It seems that is "easy" to output power from our beloved S2000, but what about the tranny, clutch, rear end. I have heard that our rear end can hold power about 300rwhp.....

Right now all i need is a short block........who should I send it to? are there any recommanation that you guys have? How much does it usually cost if I wanna built the block only? Do I need a different ECU if I have a lower compression ratio motor?
