Default Innovative Engine Mount Question

I have installed the 75a engine mounts on my car.

The question I have is:

Where the bolt goes through the engine mount and through the black bracket that connects to the car - how tight should this be?

I tightened mine up so that the black bracket was bend in ever so slightly on both sides until it was touching the engine mount.

Is this ok?

Thats how I tightened mine as well since I don't remember there being any instructions.. Pretty much tightened it til it wouldn't go anymore. I started with 60a's but they are prone to failure so mine did.. Now I have the 75a's. No issues and theyve been on the car about 65K miles total.

Thanks

Another question: I had to use my OEM bolts to connect the mount to the block as they had not included all the bolts. they hadn't included 10 bolts which should have been there! 10! Who does their packing, a blind man?

Will the OEM bolts be ok, im concerned that they may have done some damage to my bottom end due to their size.

I have ordered myself some spoon mounts instead as I am royal pissed off with Innovative!

Absolutely do not use the oem bolts for mount to block.. Hopefully you didn't do any damage.

If you used the shorter (35mm) oem bolts you may be ok. But the longer bolt (40mm) appears to be the ones that damage the block.

I read that post this morning, it has me being all kinds of worried and paranoid. I am going to remove them tonight and search for damage.

I am praying to god I haven't done any damage, literally only drove 10 miles to work this morning, no vtec. I havent torqued the bolts down either, they are just wrench tight.

I emailed Innovative suggesting that they include a parts list detailing what should be included so that people like myself do not get confused.

Any idea how I would look for further damage or is it a case of the engine just going knock knock?

I would pull the oem bolts out and check their length. If they are the 35mm bolts you can thank your lucky stars. As someone else did in the thread you can poke around in there and make sure you dont have any fresh oil in the hole. If you find you used the longer bolts you could pull the oil pan and check the area for cracks from the inside of the block. I hope for the best, let us know what you find.

Will update later tonight (UK time)

Thank you for the information. These mounts will be taken off as soon as possible and replaced with Spoon ones.

If I have damaged my block then I am afraid it is the end of S2000 & Mike's love affair.

No instructions, guessing game
My innovative diff mounts did not fit with all the given hardware :s no response from customer service

My 75a mounts are the same as the user posted above abit squeezed at where it mounts to factory location. Loctite on all nuts

I'd tighten them to OEM spec, which I believe is 28lb for mount to block. This isn't very tight, so be very careful if not using a torque wrench. Mount to bracket (which probably doesn't exist on the innovative mount) is 40lb. From here https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/500969-torque-specs/
