Default Installed S-Techs and No Drop

I bought a set of S-Techs from another member and installed them on my 00. They car did not drop at all. I'm still at 26" from the ground to the top of the fender. The person I got them from sent me a pic of his car with them on and it was definitely lowered. Anyone have this problem before?

Don't know how old they are. I thought you can only preload when you are using an adjustable spring with threaded base. These are just lowering springs. Can't upload pics right now because my Internet sucks balls (I hate cox)

Is there any chance that the springs were put on improperly, front to rear, upside down ?, just guessing ?

You can "preload" them by leaving the spring fully compressed when you're bolting down the top hat.. And then releasing the compressor after you got it on there as far as it can go..

From what I understand..

I've installed dozens of lowering springs and never had a preload issue buy I guess I can try it.

What springs were you on before??

Obviously its a dumb question.. But if you were on stock springs there is no reason why your car had no drop..

The springs that came off were stock. I know it doesn't make sense, that's why I'm posting. My friend who helped me install the springs has s techs on his s2 and he is still an inch lower than I am
