You might have the H tech springs which are like half inch drop..

Which would explain the difference.. I believe the h tech are gold.. But obviously I think y'all would have noticed the difference..

OP,
did you compress the shock to maximum bound and then tighten the control arm bolts? Is it possible that your control arm bushings are binding?

Next question, did you move the car back and forth and/or drive it around the block? stuff needs to settle.

That is also true..

It doesn't just drop all the way instantly, the suspension needs to get settled in by driving the car..

I'd like to see some pictures though.. If you got some post them up!!

When it comes to Tein springs I've heard of a few complaints where the drop did not match that which was advertised. I have no experience with them on s2k's but on one of my past vehicles that drop was off from what they advertised. I lost trust in them after that experience.

Hmm that's very strange. Do you know if the springs are legit springs? There was an issue of replica springs. Tein springs will give you a raked drop. The front should be lower than the rear. Maybe they are switched around?

When I installed the springs, there's no need to preload because the spring is shorter than stock, therefore the top hat will be able to bolted on to the piston mount. When you tighten it down use a allen key to hold the piston still.

hmm, is it possible there was one spring designed for a few different chassis, therefore the spring giving a different drop per car. (such as the many springs do for the accord/cl,etc)
