When it comes to Tein springs I've heard of a few complaints where the drop did not match that which was advertised. I have no experience with them on s2k's but on one of my past vehicles that drop was off from what they advertised. I lost trust in them after that experience.
hmm, is it possible there was one spring designed for a few different chassis, therefore the spring giving a different drop per car. (such as the many springs do for the accord/cl,etc)
yup that was my experience, they didn't adjust their spring design to account for different vehicle variants.

Even if they're knockoffs, the previous owner's car was much lower as depicted from the photos.

Unless the seller was dishonest in this transaction, I can't think of anything else.

Where are the pictures at?? (buyer and seller pics)

That's the fastest way to give a complete answer instead of throwing out these "theories"..

It's been a few days now, you'd think the OP would have posted pictures if he was really that concerned with solving the mystery..
